Morgan and Aldrich See Pompeii Together

NAPLES, Jan 23---J. Pierpont Morgan arrived here today aboard the White Star
liner Adriatic. Former Senator Aldrich of Rhode Island was a fellow
passenger. They motored out to the ruins of Pompeii, where Morgan renewed
his offer to Director Spinazzola, to finance new excavations. Mr. Morgan
announced that he would continue on his way to Egypt tonight.
