Mother and daughter, survivors

A mother and daughter who survived the sinking of the Titanic 37 years ago are shown here in the mother’s farm near Lannon, Wis. The mother is Mrs. Frank Kroepfl, 63; the daughter, Mrs. Harold (Louise) Pope of Milwaukee. Louise was only 4 when the giant ship, on its maiden voyage, was wrecked by an ice-berg and 1,513 persons lost their lives in the cold Atlantic ocean. Mrs. Kroepfl is fingering the thin cotton blanket that she snatched up and carried with her in her escape on a lifeboat.
