ROME, March 21---Prof. Bastianelli says that although there is not the
slightest anxiety over the condition of J. Pierpont Morgan he is still
suffering acute discomfort from dyspepsia.
The hotel at which Mr. Morgan is stopping is besieged at all hours of the
day by amateur and professional art dealers who are anxious to offer him
alleged antiquities, many of which are obviously rubbish. Mr. Morgan will
see none of these people, and they are promptly dismissed by the employees
of the hotel.
Hundreds of letters and photographs offering antiques are received dally and
are taxing the secretaries of Mr. Morgan to their utmost.
