Mrs. Nellie Becker, of 391 Britain Avenue, died at 6:06 A.M. today at Mercy Hospital, where she was admitted four days ago following an apparent heart attack.

Mrs. Becker was the widow of Rev. O. A. (sic) Becker, who served as interim pastor for the Eau Claire Community Congregational church prior to his death in 1956.

Mrs. Becker was a former resident of Eau Claire and Berrien Springs before moving to Benton Harbor.

Survivors include one daughter, Mrs. Ruth Blanchard of Benton Harbor; one son, Richard, of Peoria, Ill; and one sister, Mrs. Ruth Avery of San Diego, Calif.

The body will lie in state at the Bowerman Funeral Home, Eau Claire, until being taken to the Eau Claire Community Congregational church where funeral services will be held at 2 P.M. Thursday. The Rev. Lloyd A. Zoschke, church pastor, and Elder Roscoe U. Garrett of Berrien Springs, will officiate.

Following services in Eau Claire, the body will be taken to Princeton, Ill., where additional funeral services will be held at 2 P.M. Friday in St. Mark's Lutheran Church of Princeton. The Rev. A. B. Beaver, church pastor, will officiate.

Burial will be in the family lot in Oakland Cemetery, Princeton.

BECKER RITES TODAY

EAU CLAIRE, March 20 Funeral services were to be held at 2 P.M. today at Community Congregational Church for the Rev. Allen O. Becker, 82, retired Lutheran pastor and missionary, who died Monday at the Berrien county hospital.

Conducting the funeral were Pastor Lloyd A. Zoschke and Elder Roscoe U. Garrett, a retired Seventh Day Adventist minister from Berrien Springs and a life-long friend of the Rev. Becker.

The Bowerman funeral home is in charge of local rites, and afterward will take the body to the Norberg Memorial funeral home in Princeton, Ill.

Additional services will be held at 2 P.M. Wednesday at St. Matthew's English Lutheran church in Princeton, where the Rev. Becker was pastor for 18 years before coming to Eau Claire in 1945.. He will be buried in the family lot at Oakland Cemetery, Princeton.

The Rev. Becker, a native of Berrien township, was educated at South Maple Grove school and Whittenburg College, Ohio. After 14 years, as a missionary in India, he served pastorates in Ohio and Illinois before retiring to Eau Claire.

Surviving are his widow, the former Nellie Baumgartner; a daughter, Mrs. Ruth Blanchard of Benton Harbor; a son, Richard, of Princeton; six grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
