By the time these notes appear Leslie Williams (Tonypany) and Dai Bowen (Treherbert) will be on their way to America.

They originally intended to sail last Sat.; however, it was not only too late to book, but Leslie could not possibly get ready in time, and as I did not want either to sail alone I booked their passages for Wed.

Bowen was given a great farewell by Treherbert sports, and was presented with a handsome travelling bag at a smoker held in the local Constitutional Club. I must say that both lads go with the best wishes of all who know them, for not only are they steady and unassuming, but they are also above the average in skill.

Leslie Williams pleased no less an authority than Jim Driscoll on the second night of Nazareth House assault-at-arms, for he had Joe Bowker going in [a] splendid exhibition. Bowen also did exceedingly well that night, and I have no doubt that he will improve considerably in America.

They have promised me that they will make good use of the gym on board, so they ought to be fit to hold their own on the other side.

The contract which I drew up has proved satisfactory to both, and I am hoping to hear [?] their prosperity, for Mr. Frank Torreyson under whose management they tour, has come possession of several large [clubs?] around Pennsylvania, one of which holds 10,[?] and has over 100 private boxes, each capable of holding 25 persons.
