Tea Exporter of London, Titanic Passenger, Well Known in Brooklyn.
Among the names of the missing appears that of R. W. Smith, who was connected with the well-known tea exporting film of Reinach-Nephews & Co. of London and who had a great many friends In Brooklyn.
Mr. Smith, as a member of his firm, had made some forty trips across the Atlantic, and his acquaintance in the tea trade was very large.
Whenever he came to this city it was his custom to stay at the home of T. G. Matthews, 437 Eastern Parkway. This he had done for twenty-five years.
Mr. Matthews said today that he was afraid there was no hope that Mr. Smith might have been rescued.
