The Rev. A.C. Crosfield arrived back from Canada on Tuesday.
When he landed at St. John's he first heard of the disaster to the Titanic, and that the name of Mr. R.C. Coleridge was not among the saved.
The rev. gentleman thereupon decided to abandon his holiday, and returned by the same boat three days after his landing. On the outward passage the boat on which Mr. Crosfield travelled had an adventure in the icefield. Once, the engines were suddenly stopped and reversed and a large iceberg passed dangerously near to the vessel.
On Wednesday Mr. Crosfield went to Wisbech to convey his personal condolence to Mr. Coleridge's father and relatives.
