Hanson Baldwin

Hanson Baldwin (1903-1991) was an American journalist and military analyst known for his work as a military correspondent for The New York Times. He was born in Baltimore, Maryland and graduated from Harvard University in 1924. Baldwin joined The New York Times in 1929 and became its military correspondent in 1937. Throughout his career, Baldwin reported on and analyzed major military events such as World War II, the Korean War, and the Cold War. He was highly respected for his insightful and authoritative reporting on military affairs. Baldwin was awarded the Pulitzer Prize for Correspondence in 1943 for his coverage of World War II. In addition to his work as a journalist, Baldwin also authored several books on military history and strategy. His writing was known for its clarity, depth of knowledge, and balanced perspective.
