Expedition Titanic. Searching for a myth
This book, in German, describes a summer 1996 expedition to the wreck led by pioneer salvor George Tulloch with legendary explorer Paul Henri Nargeolet. On this expedition, tourists and guests including Titanic survivor Millvina Dean were present as salvage crews attempted to raise a large section of the hull to the surface. However, some lines snapped and the piece sank back to the sea bed. “The Big Piece” was later recovered and presently forms the centrepiece of a Titanic exhibition in Las Vegas, Nevada.
