Description
Claudio Bossi delves into the lives of those on board the doomed ship. It tells us who they were, where they came from, and what life plans the passengers of the three classes had, rich and poor, women and men, and finally the crew: it allows us to penetrate their minds and makes us relive those who probably were their thoughts, their terrors, their hopes. Their lives before the catastrophe and after, for those who survived. Among these stories, a special place goes to Margaretha Frolicher-Stehli who, with her family, was lucky enough to survive the sinking of the Titanic. She belonged to a historic family of wealthy entrepreneurs, originally from the Canton of Zurich, who had also built an impressive production plant in Germignaga (Varese) in the silk sector.
