RMS Titanic – The First Violin

This is an inspired companion volume to Yvonne’s popular RMS Titanic, Dinner is Served cookbook.

From the many letters and other documents belonging to John which were handed down through her family, Yvonne has pieced together the twists and turns of fate which culminated in his taking the position aboard the doomed ship as First Violinist.

He was one of the eight musicians who entertained and helped to calm the frightened passengers as the vessel foundered and who, it is popularly reported continued to play as the crew struggled to lower life boats and evacuate the ship.

All eight participants in this final performance were lost that night but many survivors have testified to their bravery.
