  1. Maria Mathilda Backström - daughter Alfhild Maria born 29 June 1912
  2. Madeleine Astor - son John Jacob Astor jr born 14 August 1912
  3. Hannah O'Brien - daughter Marion born 3 September 1912
  4. Ada West - daughter Edwyna Joan West born 14 September 1912
  5. Mary Marvin - daughter Mary Margaret "Peggy" born 21 October 1912
  6. Argene Del Carlo - daughter Maria Salvata born on 14 November 1912
  7. Mary Eloise Smith - son Lucian Philip Smith II born 29 November 1912
  8. Helen Bishop - son Randall Walton Bishop born 8 December 1912, died 2 days later
  9. Adāl Naṣr Allāhh - son born 9 December 1912 but died shortly after
  10. Juliette Laroche - son Joseph LeMercier Laroche, Jr. born 17 December 1912

Passengers it has been suggested might have been pregnant on the Titanic:

  1. Catherine Bourke - supposedly according to local folklore it was rumoured that she was pregnant, but no evidence or source for the claim has been found.
  2. Mary Corey - she died in the sinking, and no source has been found to support the suggestion.
  3. Miriam Kantor - a "direct descendant" of the childless couple later sold a pocket watch belonging to her husband Sinai Kantor.  No other evidence is known and the term "direct descent" is applied very loosely by auction houses.
  4. Clare Karnes - she died in the sinking, it has been speculated she was pregnant, but no evidence or source has been found.

    Yep. Madeleine Astor was about five months pregnant while on board. She gave birth to a son in August 1912, who she named after her husband, John Jacob Astor.

    In the 1980s I met an old gentleman suffering from emphysema he lived Deptford south London, at that time he was resident in an old folks home , he had no other visitors so I paid regular visits for about a year until he died , He was in his 80s his and his name was Moses Helier. I remember he told me a story about someone related to him who was either the woman bearing a child or the child of this woman who was a survivor of the sinking of the Titanic. Unfortunately I cannot remember which. I would love to be able to verify this if anyone can help ...James

I would love to be able to verify this if anyone can help ...JamesAt this point it's fairly safe to say that unless you actually have it written down somewhere, that story, assuming it's true, is lost to time. Best you can do is look through the lists of passengers who could potentially fit that description and who would have wound up in the south of Britain after the wreck.
