John Anderson, the survivor from the Titanic wreck, who had been, missing from Whitchurch Mental Hospital since Wednesday last, was found drowned in the West Dock Cardiff, about eight o’clock on Tuesday night.

The body was conveyed to the mortuary at the mental hospital to await the coroner's inquest. Anderson was a native Southampton, and an out-patient at Whitchurch.

His terrible experience on the Titanic had unsettled his mental balance, and his memory had been a complete blank ever since. He was a harmless patient, but he cleverly eluded his warder whilst out exercising in the ground and the tragic ending of his blighted life adds to the sadness of the the circumstances of the case.
