D. Black

Mr D. Black, 41, was born in Glasgow, he gave his address as the Sailors' Home, Southampton. His last ship had been the Oceanic.

Black and his colleagues Kinsella, Geer, Witt, Lloyd and Hosgood were taken on at the last minute after six of the the "signed-on" crew arrived late for the sailing.

Black died in the sinking.
