Mr Daher Shedid
1 from Syria (now Lebanon), boarded the Titanic at Cherbourg as a third class passenger (ticket number 2698, £7 4s 6d).
Shedid died in the sinking. His body was recovered by the
MacKay Bennett (#9). His body was taken to Halifax, Nova Scotia and forwarded to Mount Carmel, Pennsylvania on 4 May 1912.
NO. 9. - MALE. - ESTIMATED AGE, 22. - SCAR UNDER RIGHT SIDE OF CHIN HAIR, DARK.
CLOTHING - Grey mixture suit; handkerchief with blue border.
EFFECTS - Moustache brush; pocket mirror and pencil; purse with French, Turkish, and Austrian money.
THIRD CLASS: PROBABLY S. FRENCH OR ITALIAN.
NAME - NAHIL SCHEDID (on health certif.)
He is sometimes listed as "Daher Shedid", "Docart _" or "_Sitik"
