Woman Climbs Liner's Side

Goes to Meet Daughter at Quarantine and Finds Her ill.

Braving a twenty-five-foot climb up a ladder from the revenue cutter to the deck of the Holland-America liner Ryndam. Mrs. Sophie Rosenbaum of 200 Riverside Avenue, yesterday gave her daughter Miss Edith Rosenbaum, a surprise and received one herself. The daughter was surprised when she saw her mother appearing over the side as the Ryndam lay at Quarantine, and Mrs. Rosenbaum's surprise came when she found that her daughter was just recovering from a severe attack of tonsillitis.
