Mr Daniel McAllister was born in Belfast, Ireland, on 15 February 1883 and hailed from a Roman Catholic family.

McAllister appears on the 1911 census living at 27 Laganview Street in east Belfast, and he is described as a sailor. Also listed with him was his wife of four years, Kate (b. circa 1886), but there is no known record of their marriage. They had no children at that point.

McAllister’s ship before Titanic had been the Olympic. He joined the Titanic at Belfast for her delivery trip to Southampton, where he disembarked.

McAllister later returned to working aboard the Olympic.

He died in Belfast on 9 March 1922, aged 39.
