Branko Dakić

Mr Branko Dakić, 19, from Croatia in Austria-Hungary, boarded the Titanic at Southampton as a third class passenger (ticket number 349228, £10 3s 5d). His destination is unknown.

Dakic died in the sinking. His body, if recovered, was never identified.

His father Zivan Dakić in Gornji Miholjac received £50 from the relief fund.

    Branko was my great-great uncle. He lived in Yugoslavia and was traveling to the US to stay with my great-grandmother, his sister. She owned a tavern in Milwaukee, WI and saved up to send for him. She traveled to NY to wait for him. My grandfather was named for Branko and he and my grandmother had 13 children and I am one of 32 grandchildren.
